Email Application Checklist
1. Passport:
The passport must be signed and it should have a minimum of six months validity and two blank pages.
2. Photograph: Four passport sized photograph with a light background, taken within the last two weeks should be submitted. In the photograph, the applicant should make sure that he or she is maintaining a neutral facial expression.
3. Visa application form:
All applicants are required to fill the visa application forms online on the embassy system. However a small mistake can lead to you visa being rejected. Hence, complete our online questionnaire from section D below and we will email you a completed embassy visa application form, ready for you to sign. 4. Residence status proof:
ILR card or proof of residence status in the United Kingdom should be submitted.
5. Address proof:
Documents that certify the address of the applicant should be submitted.
6. Stamped expatriate quota:
The applicant should submit the Certified stamped quota from Ministry of Interior in Nigeria.
7. CV and professional certificates:
The CV of the applicant along with all other professional documents should be submitted.
8. Applicant’s previous passports:
The applicant should submit all previous passports. If any previous passports are missing, the applicant should write a letter addressed to ‘High Commission of Nigeria, 9 Northumberland Avenue, Westminster, London WC2N 5BX’. This letter should explain why the applicant is unable to submit the previous passports.
9. Nigeria company letter:
A letter from the company in Nigeria, addressed to the Nigeria High Commission should be submitted. This letter should request for an STR visa, and it should also contain the applicant’s full name and position.
10. Letter of offer:
An offer letter from the company in Nigeria should be submitted.
11. Job acceptance letter:
A letter of job acceptance from the applicant stating that he has accepted the position offered by the company in Nigeria should be submitted.
12. Job contract:
A copy of contract signed by both the parties should be submitted.
