While applying a Tanzania e-visa, submitting a business introduction letter from the applicant’s UK employer is a must. The letter which should be typed on the company’s letter head must be addressed to the Tanzania embassy. This business introduction letter should cover all the basic details of both the company and the applicant including name, address, and contact number. The letter should also provide details regarding the purpose of visit. In the business introduction letter, the UK company should also ensure that they will take complete financial responsibility of their citizen.
You can apply for a multiple Tanzania e-visa, and it will give you a visa validity of 12 months. However, the foreign national should make sure that he is exiting the country at least once in three months to avoid legal troubles.
Tanzania is not offering e-visas for people living in countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria etc. However, you can apply for a referred visa, and it will help you to visit Tanzania. To obtain a referred visa, special sanction is needed from Director of Immigration Officer in Dar es Salaam. You should also submit a proper invitation letter from the Tanzanian entity, with all the necessary details including name, address, purpose of visit, etc.
If you are a journalist visiting Tanzania for tourist purposes, then you can apply for an e-tourist visa. However, if you are visiting the country for official purposes, you should visit the Tanzania embassy and should submit the application directly.
